Head Coach Darren Ho and Chinese team mates score victory in China

In the inaugural edition of the National Chinese Team Championships held in Yangshan, the team of Yangshan AG formed by Darren Ho, Jaime Wong and eight other players from China coming from Guangzhou, Wuhan and Chongqing emerged victorious and clinched the coveted 20,000 yuan prize money.

Played over a period of two days, 32 high level teams battled each other for supremacy in a competition that saw many new talents emerging in the Pickleball scene for China.

"It is my utmost pleasure to be invited to play in this tournament as it demonstrates the hospitality of my Chinese friends and also how the standard of Pickleball in China has truly picked up over the past year. While we did not expect to win, we truly rallied together as a team, supported each other and stayed by the common belief that Pickleball should be played first and foremost with a happy and free state of mind rather than focusing too much on results. Everyone in this tournament has done tremendously well and I congratulate everyone for their performances. Some of my best memories of this competition would be meeting new friends, sharing Pickleball philosophies and appreciating the amazing landscape that Yangshan has to offer." - Darren Ho, Head Coach, Pickleball Global Academy

Having now added this accolade to his PPA 35+ 5.0 gold medal earlier this year, Darren was quick to express his appreciation for his counterparts as well as the organisers of the tournament.

Congratulations once again to Pickleball Global Academy for this amazing achievement.
